Well, it has been a long time since we have updated our website! We have been very busy here at SAFE you see, we won’t bore you with all the details but here’s a cheeky little update on what is happening right now!
We are currently working hard to organise our annual ball which is taking place on the 16th of May at The Parc Hotel. Our theme this year is MASQUERADE! Be prepared for an evening of food, music, dancing and of course- wine!
We have been working on a promotional video that will be shown at this event which this year will focus on our lovely volunteers. We have lots of different volunteers that work with us internationally as well as here at SAFE HQ. Our video aims to highlight what it is that our volunteers do for us, as well as what they have gained from volunteering! There is always so much to do here at SAFE and we could not do it without them!
We have also been preparing for our four international volunteer projects that we have coming up this year;
In July we will be in Mugaiyur, India running a teaching project. In October we will be back in India on another teaching project, this time in Masinagudi! In December we will be back in Sierra Leone with our NEETs who will be teaching our Global Citizenship programme to 50 young school children! Our forth project will be in Uganda where we are hoping to teach people how to build clay ovens so that they can bake their own bread, however this is still in the early stages of planning!
So as you can see, we have been busy bees!
If you would like any information on our ball or if you are interested in volunteering for us internationally or right here in Cardiff (our roles range from PR, Marketing and Events to Admin and Trade!), please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
