The first pictures from one of our Ghana projects have come back to us and we’re SO super excited to see our kiddies playing on the equipment we were able to ship out earlier this year. The playground gets rotated around schools with no recreation facilities, (which means all of them in Kumasi!) and the rental monies earned goes towards our bigger project helping children with HIV and AIDS in the slum areas of the city.
BOOM!

Hey Safers!
Ok, I might have to keep this short and sweet (Asia t’internet connection being the reason), but its all good in The S.A.F.E. Foundation Cambodia project, where I am now with SAFE photog extroadinaire – Dan Green.
I have met with the director of our partner charity, the CCAHA and toured the schools that we support with your help. The schools are FAB! The kids are mega attentive and learning well. The teachers that we support are also doing great, teaching with big smiles on their faces and a lot of love in their heart!
There is still much to do here, and the next few days will consist of lots of meetings with Kourosh, our fantastic project manager, to fine tune elements of the project that need improving. The social issues that the CCAHA and SAFE are addressing are important in long term responses to disadvantage and with your help we really can do a lot to improve them.
Cambodia as a whole is unbelievable! The people are friendly, the scenery staggering and the culture historic and interesting.
For now, I’m signing off, I will try to write again and pictures from Dan will follow shortly!

This year the training is taking place between the 10th and 13th of September in Birmingham. If you might be interested in applying to participate in this training. Please see the following link for further information http://www.oxfam.org.uk/get_involved/campaign/activists/change“
Please contact Bethan Harper at bharper@oxfam.org.uk if you want to have a chat about the training or application processes.
