Howdy Safers!

We want to say a big, actually a MASSIVE, thank you to The Allan and Nesta Ferguson Trust who recently awarded The SAFE Foundation a grant to help us with our work in India. Lovely people.

We also want to point all you lovely supporters to our new downloadable standing order form, which can be found on the donate page. Whatever you can give, even just two pounds a month, helps a great deal and means the world to us and our kiddies overseas.

You can also make a one off donation via our new chip in, also on the donate page or homepage. See, a little bit from a lot of people means a load of good stuff for little kids and their mums and dads. Like school and stuff. And teachers. And somewhere to go. And smiles.

Yeah!

Love Lucy x

An enormous thank you to Helen and all at Ocean hair design, Louise and Vanessa, our fantastic massage therapists and everyone else involved in our pamper day. The pamper day was a prize won by a SAFE supporter at an event, and went down a treat on the weekend.

Thanks to those who take part in the day, your support over the years has been invaluable!

Thank you to all those cowboys and damsels in distress that made it to The SAFE Foundation Barn Dance last weekend at the Globe. We had an amazing time with lots of Western themed fun, and of course our superstar DJ guest, Mr Ben Westbeech.

A special thank you to Nicola our fantstic line dance caller, who, as usual provided muchos fun. Also a big thank you to Wayne who came down and took lots of lovely pictures for our guests to take home with them.

However, there is one small issue I would like to raise about the events of the evening, that quite frankly is causing me distress, and one that I feel needs addressing before the injustice eats me up inside. Why did Tom Beardshaw not win the linedancing competiton? Where is the sense in that??

Thank you to all those who decked themselves out in 1920’s style and attended the SAFE Foundation annual ball yesterday, we had an amazing time, and it seems you all did too!

Everything went off without a hitch, thanks to Hannah’s organisation skills, and although we haven’t tallied up the final amounts, we’re estimating we raised about £2000 for our projects in Ghana, Uganda, Sierra Leone and India.

Thank you to Maureen Owor, from TOCIDA, our newest charity partners, who attended and danced the night away with the rest of us!

A huge thank you to Owen, Gwyn and everyone who helped raised a whopping £865 for the SAFE Foundation at the Moustache Mayhem NYE party in the Globe. The night was a raging success, packed with people, music and facial hair all to see the new year in and raise money for little kiddies at the same time! The money will go to SAFE current projects in Ghana.
