India Volunteer Trip 2024
19/02/2025Thanks to generous funding from Welsh Government’s TAITH programme we had the privalidge of leading a team of 9 young people from South Wales to take part on a eco cookers course and cultural exchange volunteer trip.
Working with our partners, WCTD, in South East India we facilited training to make fabric cookbacks and sun cookers, 20 women from the rural villages around Mugaiyur attended and teamed up with our young people to make cookbags to take home.
Our volunteer planted trees at the WCDT Skills Centre, which will bear fuit for the community for years to come!
Volunteering in India was an amazing experience. I got to see how people live and how everything functions there, and it really made me appreciate the little things. I learned something new daily and realised that even small actions can have a huge impact. I left with a heart full of gratitude and a new perspective on life. This experience completely changed the way I see the world, and I am so grateful for every moment. Marcel, Volunteer, Aged 18
