Access to Education – Capacity Building

The lack of teachers in sub-Saharan Africa has reached crisis levels.

Over 30 million primary school-aged children and 11 million lower secondary school-aged children do not have access to a teacher in the classroom. In addition, the region is facing a teacher shortage of over 1.3 million teachers, with only 1 out of every 5 teachers in sub-Saharan Africa having the necessary qualifications to teach.

Our Access to Education – Capacity Building program provides teachers training, salaries, resources such as libraries, ground rent and volunteer support to schools and communities. Our aim is quality education for all.
