Clay Oven and Social Enterprise Programme

From 2015-2017 we supported TOCIDA respond to a community request for the start up of a baking cooperaptive, community memebers we trained to build clay ovens from local materials and cake a bread recipes were codeveloped to allow indivuals to start their own baking businesses and the wider community to have access to use the ovens to support their households.

Over three years 5 community clay ovens were built and in 2016 with support from Hub Cymru Africa SAFE supported a group of young people to travel to Tororo to take part in enterprise skills training, baking trainaing and to complete a final oven together.
